KOBUMI’s Annual General Meeting: Strengthening Community Livelihoods

Since its establishment in 2022, KOBUMI Indonesia has consistently convened its Annual General Meeting as a space for reflection—to evaluate its journey and strengthen its shared direction.

On February 26, 2026, in Sorong, Southwest Papua, KOBUMI gathered with cooperatives from Maluku and Papua to review achievements throughout 2025. Over the year, 124 farmers managing a total of 247,782 hectares of land were integrated into KOBUMI’s supply chain. Market access for nutmeg, copra, and cocoa was further expanded through both domestic and international channels, alongside a continued commitment to prioritizing local recruitment as the driving force of operations. Collective ownership was also strengthened with the addition of four new cooperatives as shareholders, bringing the total number of cooperative shareholders to 13.

KOBUMI Director, Etik Mei Wati, stated:

“The Annual General Meeting  serves as a space for evaluation as well as a reaffirmation of our commitment to building KOBUMI as a social-eco enterprise that grows alongside cooperatives and indigenous and local communities from Eastern Indonesia.”

President Commissioner of KOBUMI, Nurdana Rizki Pratiwi, added:

“As our business continues to scale, we ensure that the economic value generated returns to its core purpose—creating meaningful change and delivering tangible social impact for communities.”
