KOBUMI brought tuna and prawns from Eastern Indonesia to Vietfish 2026, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 19–21 August 2026. This marked KOBUMI’s first participation in an international seafood exhibition.
Over three days, the KOBUMI booth was a space to introduce our products and connect with buyers, distributors, processors, and seafood industry players from different countries. Meeting directly with industry players gave us a better understanding of how tuna and prawns from Eastern Indonesia can be developed and reach wider markets. The conversations also gave us insights into market needs, from product specifications to potential partnerships.
The products brought to Vietfish come from coastal communities across Eastern Indonesia, where marine resources have long been an important part of people’s livelihoods and everyday lives. Creating wider market access is therefore also part of KOBUMI’s effort to connect the potential of seafood from these regions with new market opportunities.
